- Order: Lepidoptera

Physical Appearance:

- Four wings: two forewings and two hindwings

- Three segments on its body part: head, thorax and abdomen

- Three pairs of legs, a pair of feathered antennae, a proboscis, furry body and frenulum

- Life cycle: egg – caterpillar – pupa – moth

- Pupal stage: Underground or hanging on twigs or tree bark

- Nocturnal moths: Have brown, white, black, grey and sometimes zigzag-coloured wings

- Day-flying moths: Have brightly-coloured wings

- Does not close its wings while resting

Food Source:

- Larva or caterpillar: Fruits, crops and some eat fabric which are made from wool or silk

- Moth: Nectar from flowers but most moths don't eat
