Spiders

Scientific Classification:
- Araneae

Physical Appearance:
- Have four pairs of legs, mostly have four pairs of eyes, have fine hairs between the claws at the tip of the legs which enables them to walk on walls and glass, segmented legs, fangs, a mouth
- Body segments include cephalothorax and abdomen
- Does not have antennae
- Some species are able to spin cobwebs
- Belongs to the class Arachnida
- Spiders are not insects
- Life Cycle: egg - larva (3 pairs of legs) - nymph (4 pairs of legs) - adult
Food Source:
- Larva, nymph and adult - can only take liquid food. Most spiders hunt and feed on living preys. However, there are also certain species that only feed on dead insects
